What do I need to start an Online PR company?

-track media contacts
-track when I last sent out a media advisory and to whom
-give me the ability to pull up reporters by beat

I’m in Advertising and Public Relations and haven’t taken any of those kinds of classes. I want a heads up - I want to teach myself. How about Adobe Creative Suite 3? Any suggestions?

Looking for software offering similar features to programs like Marketing Central and Marketing Pilot, i.e. project managment software that’s specifically tailored to those in the marketing industry. Not outrageously expensive, must be suitable for small but growing marketing and PR consultant firm with clients primarily in the healthcare industry. Desired features would include digital access management, online proofing and approval capabilities and marketing results tracking. Web-based preferred, but would also like info on any non-web based programs. Please also provide specific details on your experience with the product you are discussing and/or recommending. Thanks!

I would like to run a WordPress blog, but am aware of the downsides to having the blog hosted on Wordpress.com:

Where can I find an online service that will host my Wordpress blog for me and install extensions when I require them which is not Wordpress.com?
