My friends and I just graduated from college. He has an international business degree, I have a PR degree.
We’ve decided to try and start our own consulting firm for transatlantic relationships as we both have spent a lot of time in both Europe and the US.
We have a meeting with the bank who might be financing our experiment.
My question is, what do I bring to the bank? All I have is a date and the name of a rep I’m meeting with.
What do they like to see? Research findings? Business plans? And in what format?
(Both my partner and I are surprised we didn’t learn this in college.)
I have been given a wonderful opportunity for my new PR and Event Planning firm… I would like to get ideas and advice from more experienced professionals.
There is a young man that needs an engine for his van. He is a very active wheelchair bound individual. He was name Advocate of the Year this year in Texas.
He needs his van because of the wheelchair lift. For his birthday, the non-profit for which he is a board member, decided to give him a birthday/fundraiser party. In lieu of gifts we will ask for online evite donations. We will probably use pay pal for this. (unless someone has a better idea)
The party will held @ a local restaurant. I want to make this the most memberable party ever!! Door prizes, surprises, special guests (if possible) He loves the Houston Rockets!!
I need to find a detailed copy of a service agreement to present…can you direct me?
I thinks its time to start my owne business. I have a BA in communication and experience working at previous modeling agency. I am a thesis away from completing a MA in adult ed. I live in Atlanta where there are several others pursuing this same interests. I have a saved a years worth of living expenses to make this happen, but people say that Im crazy for quitting my job selling AM radio, of which I no longer have interests. I am also wondering if I should invest in office space to have a more professional environment for clients and models? Should I leap out on faith with no designated incoming coming in or signed contracts? It’s not like i’m making a heck of alot in radio sales, but I am skilled in writing proposals and convincing clients to buy my products. I’ve purched every help book I can think of in the areas of freelancing, pr, consulting, event planning, marketing, etc.
I just launched an e-store and clothing line and I’ve been put thru the wringer trying to find a good web programmer. Everyone is such a con artist it seems! Now I need another one for website maintenance and I’d like to start talking with a PR firm for advertising. What is a dependable way to find credible professionals? I’m so over craigslist!!
If you are someone living and operating a small business/corporation in Florida, I would like your help, advice, and references.
I want to open a event planning, PR/advertising firm offering other creative services such as logo design, brochures, among other things. I was thinking about hiring an accountant to do the paperwork for me. But I am weighting my options.

I am doing public relations for my uncle who is an artist. I’m writing a brochure for his new series, sending out press releases, and setting up interviews. I am still in school majoring in PR but I will graduate this May so I don’t know all the specifics of how I get paid for my work. I know how much national campaigns for big companies cost but this is on a MUCH smaller scale. How much should I charge him for all this?
