I’ve got some questions already made, but what would be some good questions to ask a PR firm regarding media and society?

Cite two examples of marketing communications (advertising, personal selling, public relations, sales promotion, or direct marketing) that led you to purchase two products in the past.

The first purchase should be one that required the expenditure of a significant percentage of your income, such as a car, house, computer, or large television.

The second is an everyday purchase: milk, toilet paper, diapers, etc.

I am wondering how does one reach out to the national media and get to appear on their talk shows / news segments etc. For example the milliondollarhomepage guy before he even started to build his site he hired a PR expert for 7 grand a month. Who got him on all the news shows etc. So I’m trying to think, what exactly does this PR expert do? Is this something I can do myself? Oe is this more of a “who” you know rather than “what” you know?

Who does one have to contact / start contacting to get the media’s attention?

Hi everyone! ? my Question is What public relations consideration should a company take in to account before accepting a sponsorship arrangement with a major corporation?

I provide writing services- e.g. press releases, media kits, assist in launching newsletters and magazines. As a former newspaper journalist, I am professional and experienced in getting the word out to mainstream media.

In the topics of Publicity Strategy, Press Release, Traded Shows Internal/ External Newsletters. General ideas are just fine too.

I was just wondering…
I’d like to boost the PR of my site, where could I go to do this? Any websites that offer a service like this for an affordable price?

There’s a small company that gets lots of press and I am curious who is their PR is. I searched all over the internet and found no result. Just wondering if anyone knows of other ways to do research in this matter.
In response to Don S, I have PR friends that said that if a company don’t want anyone to know their PR company, you won’t really find out about it and they will definately not tell you if you ask. I just want to know if these relationship is on public record somewhere I can search for. Thanks anyway.

I got my bachelors degree at a liberal arts school and that was graphic communications. I also minored in advertising and IT, and i studied abroad in london for as the assistant to the creative director. I’m wondering if i should do an internship or if there is anyone who knows of available jobs? im from CT, but I think I should relocate to NY or CA as well.
