I’ve been looking into the career of Public Relations and I’m very sure that its the thing I want to do with my life. Anyways the thing I want to know is:
- What things should I major in besides Public Relations? Is Journalism okay?
- Are there any schools in NYC that you would recommend for PR?
- Is there anything now, in high school, that I can start doing to prepare myself?

I am 35. I work in finance. I want to change fields. The field of PR interests me. Is pursuing a graduate diploma in PR worth to change careers. After i complete my diploma what do you think my starting salary would be. I am 35 so i can not make a lot of concessions in terms of salary. Is it too late to change careers if i am 35. Anyone who has experience in this field please respond.

I want to know which UC or CSU is best known for this area of study. Which is better a CSU or UC? I here the UC’s are more theory and the CSU’s are more hands on learning when it comes to the major, but UC’s are looked more highly. What will get me a better job? Any details of programs at any reccomended university is highly appreciated!

I’m thinking about doing the above combination in college. Do you think this is good for finding jobs? I know internshiping is very important too. I’m interested in acting, filming (have made short films/music videos) singing, guitar…promotions, and even casting/talent agencies. I plan on building websites(have made practice ones) soon for the above
I’m also learning spanish, korean, japanese, and chinese (i’m asian).
I know that was long winded but just wanted to write down the details. If that is a good major/minor combination for college, then please let me know, or offer suggestions
Thanks
