Podesta, Clinton’s former White House chief of staff, helped create the Center for American Progress in 2003
Podesta modeled the Center for American Progress on the conservative Heritage Foundation, which gained fame by offering ideas, strategies and personnel to Ronald Reagan when he won the presidency in 1980.

Palin: I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration? If we’re talking change, we want to get far away from what it was that the present administration represented and that is to a great degree what the Republican Party at the time had been representing, Palin said in a story published Sunday.

They don’t bring in real budget and tax experts and the kind of people who run the numbers and projections. The concentrate on Sarah Palin’s wardrobe and McCain’s beer heiress wife. Actually, the media has consistently used high profile women to mock and attack.

Think about it. Think of how the media destroyed Hillary with trivia headlines and choosing trivia instead of numbers and economic projections and analysis. In the long run, it will be the numbers that tell the story for the next four years. Get real. The media has nominated and is virtually putting their candidate into office, as it stands. Note, they toss in some bones for the opposition now and then. The facts are the facts, and the rest is fantasy and emotion. Change is an appealation to the imagination and they engineered this campaign accordingly. That is the strategy and the tactics include ACORN and highflown rhetoric. Stilted English, loosely defined relying on personal dreams and fantasy. All that will evaporate in short order and the numbers will tell the real story. Get real.

This whole election is bogus and being treating like the promotion of the World Series or Super Bowl. A collosal public relations stunt. Truth is, Obama’s team is better at this PR stunt than McCain. His pride and sense of honor will likely cause him to lose. Even the blacks will live to regret this move when the going gets really tough. The numbers and facts are very persistent.

It turns out FactCheck has their thinking caps on! This is the summary of their factCheck analyis of tonight’s infomercial…that delayed the World Series Final game.

-Increased taxes already down the $200,000 (Obama’s words). Biden already slipped it down to $150k.

-No defintive exit strategy for Iraq. His exact words we’ve got to look at bringing that war to a close.

-No universal healthcare for adults. Children only…which exists in virtually every state already.

-His health care decrease in cost of $2500 per family is a hope thta computerized records will allow health insurers to pass the (estimated) savings on to premium payors…yeah right.

-Spending plan heading for a 1 TRILLION dollar deficit in the FIRST year in office, even after taking into account any spending cuts he proposes.

-Recently acknowledged that the next President will have SCALE BACK his agenda and some of his proposals.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama will begin to put his imprint on the nation’s war strategy in his first full day in office, gathering his top military and national security advisers at the White House for what is expected to be the start of the new commander in chief’s shift in emphasis from Iraq to Afghanistan.

This article brings up an interesting point. What do you think?
Plumberrock: I am a Republican and I am having serious doubts about his agenda on this one.
Gardenerforgod: I have been watching things on TV and I would agree that this is a very serious situation. Somehow I believe that the election of a new President is a very serious situation as well. John McCain has missed 412 votes out of 643 in the senate. So now he suddenly cares?
As far as he is concerned at this point their is not much he can do. As President he could do much more. Regardless of anything this will still be an issue on November 4th and when the new President is sworn into office in January.

The information I’m looking for is: How many elections are held in the US each year? I’m talking about all elections, from the president and congress down to state and city offices and including other elected office like school boards and the like. Basically anybody that has to run for any level of public office. No doubt that varies by year. So I’m probably asking how many elections are held over a four cycle by year.

A related question is: how much money is spent running for office and how does that many break down; office, staff, mailings, PR, advertsing, etc? It would be especially valuable to find numbers for advertising that broken down into direct mail, TV, radio, Internet, outdoor, etc.

Good God. Will people just ONCE admit that he may have been a little bit of a flip flopper on an issue or two? Honestly, it won’t hurt you, I promise.
Ha, right. I’m feeble minded because I see his BS. That makes sense. I’m not saying he’s a bad guy, and I know he’ll probably be way better than McCain, but for heavens sake, he isn’t perfect people.

Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son consulted for five years as an expert on these very same issues at a time of enormous expansion in online banking. Hunter Biden was receiving consulting payments from MBNA, he also was a Washington lobbyist at a firm he had personally co-founded. Here’s that story.

Arienna Huffington called Joe Biden’s voting for the bankruptcy law favoring banks immoral. Here’s that story. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jackson-williams/joe-biden-true-friend-of_b_120776.html Here are two videos about Obama’s numerous connections to Fannie-Mae.

She says she will stay in the race until there is a nominee and it appears the superdelegates are busy choosing the nominee. What has happend to Clinton’s roster of superdelegates? They appear to be jumping ship? She hasn’t picked up a single delegate since May 5th and has gotten a total of 5 this month. Obama picked up 3 on the eve of the primary and at least 4 more today alone.

Hillary needs to change her strategy of going after blue collar votes and start pursing the superdelegates but how can she stop the bleeding?
