Makes good sense to me.

How about you?

Damon Jones - DNCC press relations said that the Dems put the flags in great big trash bags to send them back for redistribution and that Republican operatives absconded with them.

If that were true, why didn’t the Dems come out and say a week ago that 12,000 flags were stolen after the DNC?

I don’t see how press coverage of all of this has helped him:
Reverend Wright around the clock for most of March.
Bittergate.
Muslim rumors.
Osama mispronunciations.
Farrakhan.
‘Lost His Bearings’ Gate.

Now, even I have to admit that he is getting the better deal during the Europe trip, but that is only because McCain is not generating any thing for the media to cover.
If you wanted to sell a story what would you put?
Blank has discussion at restaurant in Pennsylvania in front of 10 people.
or
Blank gives speech in Berlin on U.S- Europe relations in front of 200,000 people.
This is a question:
Question a: Can you give convincing evidence of media bias?
Question b: If you wanted to sell a news paper, what would you put on the front cover?
Fell free to answer either question, or both.

They have a whole chest of stories to dig into about all of the candidates. Whenever one controversy gets old, they just throw on a new one and rile us all up.

I think it’s irresponsible. The candidates are too busy putting out public relations fires to really concentrate on the issues.

Do you know what Cable TV Channel or what DIRECT TV Channel will transmit the FOX NEWS interviews about the DNC Primary Election in Puerto Rico ( PR ) ?

Is John McCain too old to run for president or does he simply suffer from some affliction?

At a press availability today, John McCain expressed concern about relations between Russia and a country that hasn’t existed for quite some time. According to a rough pool report transcript, he said:

“I was concerned about a couple of steps that the Russian government took in the last several days. One was reducing the energy supplies to Czechoslovakia. Apparently that is in reaction to the Czech’s agreement with us concerning missile defense, and again some of the Russian now announcement they are now retargeting new targets, something they abandoned at the end of the Cold War, is also a concern.”
Czechoslovakia, of course, split into two separate countries in 1993.

It isn’t the first time McCain has made this mistake!

This is quite one of the few times that the Commonwealth has a significant role in the presidential campaign. Puerto Rico has fifty-five delegates; the primary is this Sunday. PR will not get 2 vote in the general election. 2,025 votes r kneaded 4 nomination. Obama has 1,953 while Clinton’s got 1,770. Thumbs-up for any Boricua answerers.

Picking a U.S. President: Voices From the Arab World
Obama Emerges as the Middle East Favorite for future U.S. president.
By LARA SETRAKIAN
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Jan. 10, 2008

They may not have a vote, but civic-minded people in the Middle East are watching the U.S. presidential race closely, and some have already chosen their favorite candidate.

“My favorite is unquestionably Sen. [Barack] Obama. He presents a new face of America to the Middle East, and to the world at large,” Hafed Al Ghwell, a Libyan-American with the Dubai School of Government, told ABC News.

“I think [Obama] is capable of restoring the image of America as a beacon of democracy,” said Fadi Salem, a Syrian engineer, also with the DSG.

The Illinios Democrat seems to have captured the hearts, minds and newspaper pages of the Middle East.

Even before winning in Iowa, Obama appeared to be the local favorite, as evidenced in the region’s English language press. An op-ed in Egypt’s Daily News called him “a breath of fresh air.” Another, in the Daily Star of Lebanon, said he is “a global candidate for a global age.”

“To see an African-American come this close to the White House, less than 50 years after the end of segregation … is an accomplishment for which all Americans can be proud,” wrote an editorial in Arab News, a Saudi Arabian newspaper. “Democrats, in particular, must quietly feel glad that the days of the Birmingham Barons and Bull Connor are behind the party.”

Though Obama is, himself, a Christian, his father’s Muslim heritage, and his own multiracial makeup, are seen as a huge plus a sign to many here that he may be able to understand the region and what it would take to achieve peace and stability.

In one editorial, Lebanese political analyst Chibli Mallat pointed out that the name Barack is short for “Mubarak,” an Arabic word, meaning “the blessed one.” In a point of unsolicited advice, Mallat suggested Obama should highlight, not bury, that heritage.

“You should be proud of your Muslim legacy,” wrote Mallat. “Make it a central plank of your campaign to become world leader. There is no contradiction between this and the Christian convictions you have. … Become a uniquely ecumenical president, in a world increasingly in the throes of religious strife.”

The press still allows her to dictate that Pennsylvania is somehow more important than other states.

They don’t ask about her TAX RETURNS.

They don’t comment on the MEMO questioning her foreign relations experience..which a former director in the State Department really QUESTIONS. He says she had no clearance, no access to the Situation Room, no access to the meetings. So?

They don’t ask about the funding for the Clinton LIBRARY.

Many more…She hasn’t been vetted.

According to America’s Mayor, illegal immigration is not a crime.

Just like when Kerry said in ‘04 that he would consult the UN on U.S. foreign policy matters, I think Rudy just took himself out of this race. Your thoughts?
