If that were true, why didn’t the Dems come out and say a week ago that 12,000 flags were stolen after the DNC?

First of all, even if it’s not true that doesn’t make us less patriotic. I don’t save any of my flags. But I do visit memorial. I have been to our memorial in Pearl Harbor & the one near omaha beach (Normany), I’ve also gone to where the twin towers fell.

Yes, some flags were thrown in the trash, and some were probably meant for redistribution.
I find it more offensive that the state of Texas feels the need to fly their flag at the same height as the American flag. A conscious disrespectful choice.

And why did you say they were wrinkled up and put in trash bags? It seems like if you were proud of your Convention and didn’t need the flags anymore someone would have offered them to people that attended the event as a souvenir. If you love the flag, why wouldn’t you have been proud to get one? A member of my family died in combat for that flag, and for you.
