How can I know if a webdirectory does transfer PR or not ?


I’m in the process of promoting a new site. I read on the net that submitting to webdirectories is still a nice practice, but I have a BIG questions: How can I know if a webdirectory does transfer PR or not ?

    2 ways check the link to see if it has a no follow through or download firefox and the SEO addin shows all page information including links that do not allow follow through

    Also some sites write which directory transfers PR and which not.
    Try for example this list:

    1. Go to that webdirectory

    2. Navigate to see how a usual “link/site info” page looks like
    For example this one->

    3. Right click on the page, go to the View Source option

    4. Check for the link pointing to the site
    In our case a link to

    5. The link should be something like
    ” Link name

    6. If the link above has the text “rel=nofallow” then, it will not transfer PR to your site.

    Choose carefully to which directories you submit, as most of them don’t transfer PR, and you’ll get nothing for your submision.

    Always try to fallow the steps I show for the webdirectory.
