I’m a US PR and was convicted with a felony and served time for it. I recently traveled outside US and afraid that I might get sent back at the airport.
Will it be hard for me to enter Canada without a visa from Yemen?
and does Canada check US green card holders criminal records and refuse them ?

you will have difficulty entering Canada,people with a felony are most often denied entry,anyway you will find it hard to get a visa to enter canada
and yes border control can check your record at the airport then again at the US/Canada border when you try to enter the US

yes. canada does not even allow american citizens in with a minor criminal record ie, dui. you are in big trouble. why didn’;t you check this out before you left?
i immigrated to canada from the us. you have to have a clear record to enter. canada is quite thorough on this,canada has a new no fly rule and has access to us criminal records.
is theire immigration site with your nation on it.
you may be in big trouble.

if you have a felony in USA then yes you may be denied entry to Canada.
You can enter Canada using only the green card. If you use the passport and you have a green card, then Canada will know you have something to hide so they investigate, felony discovered and you get denied entry.
