I have my bachelor’s degree in public relations and I recently moved to Orlando, but I have no idea where to look for a job! I’ve checked on careerbuilder and monster, but the only thing I really hear back on are those scams and commission deals. Anyone have ANY advice???

State jobs: search the internet, visit the local office and attend every job-seeker free training they offer.
College Alumni Career Site: get registered online, browse jobs daily,
Seek out specific companies where you live, visit their websites and job hunt.
Get all your paperwork in order: College transcripts, Personal recommendations, updated resume, etc.. Be prepared to be hired “instantly”.
Don’t apply too high up - be willing to work your way up. Get your foot in the door.
Be careful on the internet job boards - they sell your personal info to anyone who will pay the fee. As you’re finding out, corporations really don’t “troll” for employees - they receive far more applications than they have time to review. Use the boards only to identify potential employers, then seek out their website, etc…

There aren’t any jobs. The unemployment rate is on the rise.
Get ANY job - then look for a better job.
