What are best resturants in San Juan PR for couple?

My wife and I will be in PR for a week and I’d like to know where to go. I have checked out Fodor’s but sometimes they leave out the local hotspots.

For a sunday head to the Guavate region for lechon (roast pig) again a very local thing to do.

There are countless great places to eat in Puerto Rico. It all depends on the budget and the area. If you are in Old San Juan you can go to:
Barra China (Puertorrican and international cuissine, very good!!! Try the mofongo. Not Expensive.
Ostra Cosa - (Seafood and tapas, not cheap)
El Hamburger (One of the best hamburgers in town, is not a fancy place, so be prepares for a non pretty restaurant, but great view to the ocean)

    International Food
Margaritas - mexican food (Hato Rey, Roosevelt Ave.)
El Chimichurri - argentinian food (San Patricio)
El Tropical - cuban food (Hato Rey, Roosevelt Ave.)
Tierra Santa - middle eastern food (Hato Rey, Roosevelt Ave.)
Yum Yum Tree - Chinese Food (Hato Rey, Roosevelt Ave.)
Il Nonno - italian food (Isla Verde Ave.)
La Patisserie de France - French bistro (Ave. Ashford)
Cherry Blossom - Japanese food (Ashford Ave.)
El Chotis - Spanish Food (Hato Rey)

    Seafood
    El Mejillon (Roosevelt Ave)

    Must Go Places:
Piñones - lots of kiosks with alcapurrias, bacalaitos, piononos, pinchos and coconut water.
    Guavate - lechon

Have a good time in Puerto Rico and “Buen Provecho”
