pubic relations officer in the Australian Army?

I am looking to join the Australian army as a public relations officer. I am just about to complete my degree majoring in advertising, but have decided that there would be nothing worse than sitting behind a desk every day. Therefore i decided to join advertising/ media relations with physical demands.

I was just wondering whether anyone knows what a Public relations officer actually does on a daily basis? Further, whether it will involve outdoor activities, or sitting behind a desk in Canberra or something?

Most military bases have a Public relations officer the one near me is RAAF he is responsible to the RAAF to ensure good relations between the Civilian population and the ADF

he works with schools for Visits

Veteran Visits and he controls everything going to the media and he can be responsible for meeting Visiting Dignitaries to the base

can be very busy but that is about all i can tell you

except Ring one up and ask him / her they are nice people and very helpful
