Can shy people be successful in public relations?


I am a really shy communication major, but I would like to pursue a career as a copy writer with a public relations firm. U am very passionate about writing, but I am not sure if I am cut out for this field. Any suggestions will be very helpful. Thanks :)

    if you feel passionate about writing as you say, then go for it, it maybe the help you need to over come your shyness.You may find that you act different when with people you don’t really know. Good luck

    I do not think it will be a major problem. While you may be shy, you will have several people working with and around you who aren’t and will approach you, so you won’t have to really worry about being the one to initiate conversation or anything. :) Also, being a quiet person will help keep you out of all the drama and gossip that may go on.
