I’m a junior in college majoring in communications with an emphasis in public relations. My minor is international business. I’ve had 3 semesters of French and I’m studying abroad in France for 4 months. I’ve also had 3 semesters of applied statistics. If I continue to minor in statistics it will take me an extra semester to graduate. Is it worth it? Or do you think my degree is marketable enough. Eventually I’d like to go into media planning/buying.

I am spanish, just graduated in English Literature and Linguistics. I have no experience on the field and am looking for my first opportunity. Do you think these fact will decrease my chances of getting a job (or even, an interview)?
Im also interested in an internship or low paid position to begin with. I wonder if it would be possible for me to get it and how to do it.
When applying, is it a good idea to go directly to the PR agency im interested in working with? What advices could u give me, CV and interview-wise?
Should I bring a portfolio? what should be included on it? How can i make one?
If anyone has any good advice to give, or can think of anything else that may help me, please, write me an answer.
Thanks a million!
oh, by the way, im in Dublin area.

I got a BA in Public Relations, but now considering teaching. Maybe middle school age. But since I didn’t do education-related classes/degree, what steps can I take? I think I’d like to do social studies type teaching. But I’m afraid I’ll have to do a bachelor’s degree all over again. Did anyone else out there go to teaching after getting a degree in something unrelated? What are the next steps?
