How can i break into the Public Relations field?


I got my bachelors degree at a liberal arts school and that was graphic communications. I also minored in advertising and IT, and i studied abroad in london for as the assistant to the creative director. I’m wondering if i should do an internship or if there is anyone who knows of available jobs? im from CT, but I think I should relocate to NY or CA as well.

    Have you tried…researching? Look up some companies and see if their looking for people to hire. It helps when you put some effort out yourself.

    Public relations is such a niche business now:fashion, music, automotive, tourism, etc. there must be a specialty that interests you. California, especially Los Angeles, is a big PR market. Check the PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) for guidelines. There are so many new media opportunities on the Internet its astonishing. Its a great business, lots of travel and perks, especially tourism. Good luck.
