who can press charges against an adult having *** with a minor?

If a 19 year old female is with a 15 year old male and their parents are fine with it can someone still turn her in for sexual relations if it was both consential?

Of course they can…anyone can report it as it is against the law so the female can be charged. Does not matter if it is consential

  2. jaws65 Says:

yes and with any luck they will

  3. stephieSD Says:

absolutely. it doesn’t matter if it was consensual, or even if the minor’s parents are okay with it. it’s still technically illegal. anybody can turn in the 19 year old.

  4. steven l Says:

Anyone can report it to child protective services. They will then investigate and refer it to the DA for prosecution.

  5. ★Greed★ Says:

    Yes, its against the law.

And who would let their 15 year old kid date a 19 year old?

  6. Daft One Says:

No, I don’t think so. If the parents are ok with it, then it’s none of your business, sorry.

Cheers and keep your nose to yourself

If both sets of parents approve the relationship, I don’t think there is honestly anything you can do, because it doesn’t sound like they are hiding the relationship from their parents. If there is some sort of foul play, I would go talk to the parents.

All it takes is a police call. With OR without consent of the 15 and 19 year old, or their parents, it is still statutory ****. Consent is not an excuse. Mistake of fact is not an excuse. Mistake of law is still not an excuse.

  12. JadeyOz Says:

You can call the department of child safety and the local police name name’s , the parent would probably be charged as well I would think for allowing the relationship to be this way.

But remember you may be called upon to give evidence because you can not do it annonamously other wise they wont investigate.

Depends on the state. Most state have a catch in their underage *** laws that allow *** between consenting members who are close in age (3 to 5 years). This is because it is normal for a 16 year old to start having ***. If you do report it you better have proof or you could find yourself on the end of a law suit. Then ask yourself, How old were you when you first had ***?

But, my suggestion is leave it alone. Live and let live.

  14. Me Says:

Ya, I think the State can press charges…. however I don’t think you should tell on them…. it is different for boys, 15 year old boys like to have *** and can’t really be hurt by it…don’t even say it hurts him emotionally because it doesn’t…. it helps his confidence…. trust me I was 15 and having *** and I turned out fine.. mind you own business, and stop being jealous or whatever…. I think you might need help learning how to stop believing you are always right…pushing your ideas.

  16. studiouschick Says:

ewww. what exactly can a 15 yr old do for you that someone over 18 and over, can’t? Your a nasty *****.

  17. kristen Says:

once the police get wind of this situation the parents do not have the authority to not have someone charged….the law is the law…. every state is different with their statutory **** charges and the age of consent is different also…anyone can notify the police of the situation.. its the police/ da’s choice to arrest and file charges on the offender

  18. Samantha W Says:

Yes. It is statutory rape, consential or not. Call either the police or the Children’s Protection Services (CPS of DSHS).
