My friend just opened a consulting business and she’s thinking about hiring interns because according to her she needs to save money before she can hire full time employees. Can any legal business hire intern just like that or should they be allowed to do so by the goverment or department of education? I am doing her PR and I am a bit puzzled. Please help!
Is it legal to hire interns?

Yes she can., It’s a privately owned company and as long as she pays the minimum wage she can call it anything she wants. I would get a contract for services that spells out exactly what you will do and how much and when you will be paid.
