I need help for my project my subject is Public Relations Social Responsiblity of Business i have to relate how the social responsiblity is achieved by the means of effective Public relations. pls help me out.

Well, Social Responsibility is really a perception of the consumer……I may say that I believe WalMart is Socially Responsible because of all the money they put back into the local communities where they are located. However, another person may argue that they are not socially responsible because they do not pay good wages and provide health care to all their workers.
So the job of Public Relations, then, is to convince people that the ‘bad’ things that may be happening are a) not really that bad and are exaggerated in the news and/or b) that they do much more good socially than they do harm.
Another WalMart example would be coming into small towns and closing down small, locally owned stores. But, is that outweighed by the number of jobs they will provide - certainly more than a small store might have……PR people have to get out to the local news (and sometimes national news) and make sure that all the good things they are doing are heard more than the negative effects their business might have.
