Immigration and Law process?

My friend had consulted a lawyer for permanent residence application (PRA) in US. He had submitted his CV and the employement offer letter during consultation, without signing any agreement. Later, he changed his plan and hired a different lawyer to process his PRA. Can some body please confirm if the first lawyer can influence his PR application in any way ?

Thank you in advance for your information.

Nope.A lawyer is bound by his fiduciary relationship to his client. He should not and must not influence it what way whatsoever. However, as sign of courtesy, your friend should have not do that.hehe.

if ever the lawyer does, it can be a ground for a disciplinary action - even worse, a disbarment.

    goodluck!
