Biden says that McCain is often wrong on foreign policy-do you agree with any/all of his Senate votes on Iraq?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080924/ap_on_el_pr/biden;_ylt=Amzy3MuHWJTa3V2Bx6Zct8lh24cA

- Joe Biden voted AGAINST George H. Bush Sr.s use of force against Iraq after Iraq invaded Kuwait.

- Joe Biden voted FOR George W. Bush Jr.’s use of force against Iraq in 2003 after 9-11.

- Joe Biden voted against the authorization for the change of strategy in Iraq that required the deployment of more troops to Iraq

Do you feel these votes bolster Joe Biden’s authority to have an opinion on John McCain’s foreign policy record? or do they undermine it?

Of course he would. That is his job. Your job is to see through that stuff and make an educated decision. Not to listen to the desperate Liberal left.

This makes sense since Bush’s Ambassador to Iraq promised Saddam that the US wouldn’t get involved if Iraq attacked Kuwait.

    - Joe Biden voted FOR George W. Bush Jr.’s use of force against Iraq in 2003 after 9-11.

This is also a legitimate vote since the President told Congress that Saddam had nuclear weapons and would give them to his friend Osama bin Laden, all lies.

This isn’t true. Nobody voted on strategy. The vote was for more funds to send more troops to Iraq. The Surge didn’t require more troops. With over 200,000 US and Iraqi troops there, more troops weren’t needed. 15,000 troops were sent through Bahgdad sweeping out the insurgents. Those 15,000 troops could have been pulled from the 200,000 that were already there.
The Iraqi people turned against the insurgents, and that’s what was needed. There was no actual change in strategy. The Iraqi Awakening Councils turned the civil war around.
