What kind of job should I do in the music industry? Marketing, PR, AR, etc?

I love doing street teaming as well as discovering new bands. I’d love to be able to move up the ladder, rather than getting stuck in a job that doesn’t go anywhere. What do y’all think would be best route to go down with that?

Any way you go it is hard out there int he industry today. I mean small companies are getting eaten up by big one left and right. I mean If you want to do any of those jobs at all make sure you have a stable pay check coming in and pursue this as a future dream to flourish. I don’t think anyone unless you are very close to a music VP or family. Keep your day job

THE BEST WAY TO GET YOUR START WOULD BE AS AN INTERN AT A LOCAL RADIO STATION. NO PAY OR LOW PAY BUT THE EXPERIENCE IS INVALUABLE

Defintately get into marketing. Make contacts at venues, and look into managing bands, setting up shows, etc. There are a lot of bands out there that would love their big break, and there should be more people like you out there to help them find it.

Marketing new musicians is a good thing and every musician needs to start somewhere.
I have a burnlounge site and can get you an invitation to join and help new artists get recognition. It is very simple and you are helping other people while making money.
Let me know if you would like more info and I will help you in anyway that I can.
