What is the difference between Public Relations Specialists and Public Relations Managers? Other then the fact that the Public Relations Specialists is a hot job and that the Public Relations Managers get paid way more. You see I’m looking into careers and what classes I should take, etc. and I don’t really know the diferences. Can anyone help?

Seems to me that the PRS’s work with the public and the image presented by the company to the public. The PRM’s are their bosses. They manage the PR group altogether. That is why they get paid more. They tell everyone how to do their jobs and then they go take a nap.

A public relations manager is a more senior level public relations specialist. A manager provides more strategic oversight while managing the specialist’s work.
